Cristian Romero’s recent injury has highlighted Tottenham’s almost undeniable need for a centre-back in January – and there could be good news for that. According to Italian Gazzetta, Spurs are now closing in on the signing of 21-year-old Radu Dragusin. However, per this report, Spurs are now close to completing a deal worth around £30 million after beating interest from Barcelona. Dragusin has a growing reputation, the player is already starting his international career in Romania. And he could provide a huge boost when he arrives in early January. Tottenham are close to signing centre-back Radu Dragusin as the January window approaches Given Cristian Romero’s recent injury, Tottenham now look set to once again field Postecoglou in a team without a recognized centre-back against Brighton Hove Albion. Micky van de Ven should be back next month, possibly with partner Dragusin, but Romero’s injury has really sped things up. And while the deal may appeal to Dragusin, Tottenham will be £10m short of another January chase.
