Treading news:Elon Musk to purchase the NBA.

To play again, Enes Freedom wants Elon Musk to purchase the NBA.

Freedom, a free-agent basketball player and recent victim of right-wing “free speech” massacres, pleaded with billionaire Elon Musk to purchase the NBA on Thursday, referring to it as “my dream.” Musk might be able to pressure a team to sign him back to the league.

His sharp condemnation of the NBA for its ties to China and other authoritarian governments has made freedom a major topic on the right in recent months. After the 29-year-old center was waived by the Houston Rockets in February as part of a deadline trade deal with the Boston Celtics, Freedom and others claimed he was “canceled” for his outspokenness and for accepting an invitation to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference. This only served to increase his notoriety among conservatives.

Even though Freedom’s NBA unemployment is probably more due to his quickly deteriorating basketball skills than any attempt by the “woke” league to silence him, he and conservative media continue to promote a “cancel culture” narrative about his lack of performance. But now it seems he’s identified the new hero on the right, a possible savior.

Freedom appeared on Fox News on Thursday afternoon, supposedly to discuss the NBA’s hypocrisy when it comes to doing business with the United Arab Emirates. The league has been under fire specifically for agreeing to hold games in the United Arab Emirates, where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death. (A few years ago, the NBA withdrew its All-Star Game from Charlotte due to the transgender bathroom ordinance in North Carolina.)

Eventually, though, Freedom was questioned by Gillian Turner, a co-anchor on Fox News, if he thought he had a future in the NBA or if that door was closed.

“That’s my objective,” he answered. “Even though I’m only 29 years old, they are pressuring me to retire at that age because I speak out, and every time I do that, it damages their finances and business, which further demonstrates that they care more about money and business than what players stand for. That is the one thing that kills me on the inside.”

He persisted in saying that he was kicked out of the league because his criticism made the NBA decide not to play any more games in China, which cost executives money. Freedom continued, “All I want is for one player to join me so we can end this whole thing.”

Turner then questioned her guest, citing a tweet that Freedom had sent out soon after it was revealed that Musk was buying Twitter: “Do you still want Elon Musk to buy the NBA?”

Freedom not only responded positively but also showered the Tesla founder with accolades. Lately, the right has idolized the company founder for his promise to undo former President Donald Trump’s Twitter ban while implementing conservative-approved platform modifications.

That would be his dream, he declared. “I think it’s amazing what he’s doing for free speech, and I think he can bring some justice to the NBA and maybe one day I get to play basketball,” he said.

John Roberts, co-anchor, speculated that the wealthiest person on the planet might be the owner of every team in the league.

“Um, huh. Roberts came to the conclusion that perhaps he could purchase thirty franchises for $2.8 billion apiece.

Speaking of hypocrisy, Freedom’s extravagant praise of Musk coincides with the day the multibillionaire praised Chinese workers for “burning the 3 a.m. oil” and claimed Americans “avoid going to work,” seemingly endorsing the country’s conditions that resemble sweatshops and are required of workers at Tesla’s Shanghai factory.

Furthermore, Musk has maintained tight relations to the Chinese Communist Party for a long time. He has said things like “I love China” and called China “the future,” all while the Chinese premier has given Musk permanent residency in the country.
