Detroit Lions allegedly hired a new coach for cornerbacks and coordinator of the passing game.
ALLEN PARK – – The Detroit Lions are adding one more new part of their guarded initiative, employing Deshea Townsend as their cornerbacks mentor and passing game organizer as per various reports. Terrell Williams will also be hired as the new defensive line coach and run game coordinator for Detroit.
It stays hazy what the increases mean for Dre Bly (cornerbacks mentor) and John Scott (protective line mentor), both of whom were recruited last offseason.
The Lions made progress shielding the run this previous season, positioning second in the association, yet kept on battling against the pass. They positioned 27th in passing yards permitted, and restricting quarterbacks piled up a passer rating of 93.1 against them for the season, which was 23rd.
Tenderfoot opening cornerback Brian Branch partook in an extraordinary presentation season, yet Detroit didn’t have an external cornerback positioned among the main 90 players in the association as per Expert Football Concentration.
