Ronnie O’Sullivan pulls out of major snooker tournament and makes ‘health’ statement.
Ronnie O’Sullivan has pulled out of another snooker competition refering to his “wellbeing and welling”.
The Rocket, who has previously won the Experts, UK Title and World Stupendous Prix this season, has pulled out of the German Bosses in Berlin, what begins on Monday, January 29. Recently, O’Sullivan limped through his Reality Open qualifier against Alfie Weight in Barnsley to book his spot in the last phases of that competition.
The seven-time title holder, who has been given extraordinary consent by World Snooker to wear coaches because of a foot injury, dismissed them from halfway through the fourth casing while Weight was on a break of 61. He will now take a brief break from the game, possibly returning to action on February 12 at the Welsh Open.
In an explanation on X and his Instagram, O’Sullivan, 48, composed: ” I simply need to give my fans access Germany realize that tragically I’ve chosen to pull out from the German Bosses one week from now.
“I love the occasion and fans in Germany however I need to make my wellbeing and prosperity the need. It’s been a tiring and testing season for me up until this point, regardless of how it might appear with the competition wins so trust you get it. I regret my absence and hope to see you all soon.
