Report: Trail Blazers acquire Dalano Banton from the Celtics.
The Boston Celtics made a couple of moves not long before the NBA’s 3 p.m. ET exchange cutoff time on Thursday.
In the wake of gaining monitor Jaden Springer in an arrangement with the Philadelphia 76ers, the C’s sent watchman Dalano Banton to the Portland Pioneers in return for a vigorously safeguarded second-round draft pick, as per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Banton played sparingly during his short Celtics residency. In 21 games, the 24-year-old arrived at the midpoint of 2.3 places and 1.5 bounce back in 7.1 minutes.
Springer replaces Banton as a formative watchman off the seat for Boston. While the 21-year-old has struggled offensively (39 percent FG, 21.6% 3-PT), he has excelled defensively over the course of more than two NBA seasons.
