Ford and Red Bull issue a statement regarding the Christian Horner inquiry.

Christian Horner refutes claims that he has engaged in “inappropriate behavior” as Red Bull looks into the situation internally.

Ford, a partner of Red Bull and a potential engine supplier, has issued a comment about the investigation into claims that Christian Horner engaged in “inappropriate behavior.” The Red Bull CEO officially addressed the accusations at the team’s car unveiling on Thursday after being questioned by an impartial attorney last week as part of the probe.
In spite of all the accusations, the British driver has stated that he will be in Bahrain for F1 testing prior to the upcoming season. Ford, an American automaker, and Red Bull announced a new strategic and technological relationship earlier this month. As part of the agreement, Ford will contribute to the financing of Red Bull Powertrains’ 2026 engine. When new F1 regulations take effect at the end of the 2025 season, Red Bull will separate from Honda. This agreement coincides with that announcement.

Ford has finally handled the Horner probe as a Red Bull partner. Ford Performance Motorsport’s global president, Mark Rushbrook, stated to Association Press: “We do expect the same from our partners as a family company that holds itself to very high standards of behavior and integrity.”

From what we’ve been told and what we’ve seen, Red Bull seems to be taking the problem very seriously. Naturally, they’re also concerned about their brand.

That’s the reason for their independent investigation, and we can’t comment on anything until we find out what the results of that are. As he gets ready for the upcoming Formula One season, Horner claims that everything is “business as normal” and categorically refutes any accusations of “inappropriate behavior.”

Speaking this week at the Red Bull car launch, Horner made a strong statement and vowed to continue serving as the team principal. “Well, I think it’s been very clear, and Red Bull’s position has been that it’s business as normal,” he remarked. Naturally, Red Bull is investigating these claims and has externally validated the process. That being said, there remain tasks to be completed, and I categorically refute all of the charges made. My involvement in this process will undoubtedly continue.

“I’m working with the process and have faith in it. I vehemently refute any accusations made against me, and yes, you understand that it’s I just keep working inside that process until it comes to an end.
