Usher FINALLY makes it to a Las Vegas Aces game two years after A’ja Wilson’s outrageous plea, as the two connect on the floor following the Chicago Sky loss.
After jokingly being pushed to attend the team’s victory parade by A’ja Wilson two years prior, R&B singer Usher attended a Las Vegas Aces game on Tuesday night.
Following the game, Wilson and the well-known singer shared a hug, and the two-time MVP gave him her jersey.
The WNBA’s X account posted a video of the exchange with the words, “Dreams do come true.”
Wilson insisted Usher come to the Aces’ 2022 WNBA victory celebrations after they had won the championship.
She remarked, “Usher, I better see you, Usher,” at the press conference following the game. “I’m not teasing you.”
The 45-year-old, who now lives in Vegas, invited the team to one of his concerts after the Aces won the championship again in 2023, but he was unable to attend either parade in 2022 or 2023.
In October 2023, Wilson and her colleagues accepted his offer, and Usher serenaded her live on stage.
Usher also got into a photo with Jackie Young and Sydney Colson during the Aces’ game against the Chicago Sky.
Wilson, Colson, and Young grinned beside the singer even though their team was defeated by the Sky 93-85.
Wilson contributed 28 points and 14 rebounds despite the loss, playing incredibly well.
Young had 17, and Tiffany Hayes added 19 for Vegas.
But Chennedy Carter, who scored 34 points in the victory, gave the Sky an incredible display.
Rookie double-double apparatus For the Sky, Angel Reese contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Marina Mabrey scored 15.
