Tennessee is one of the “top teams,” and a highly regarded quarterback is seeing a lot of Vols.
Sunday afternoon marked the conclusion of Caleb Wilson’s eagerly anticipated journey to North Carolina. Before his high school season began in November, the five-star forward from Atlanta (Ga.) Holy Innocents had originally intended to pay UNC an unofficial visit.
His family decided to postpone that trip by a few months so they could watch UNC play in the first of its two games against fierce rival Duke, the largest regular-season basketball game in college athletics. Wilson and his father, Jerry Wilson, chatted with Inside Carolina following their celebration of the Tar Heels’ 93-84 victory into the early hours of Sunday morning. They talked about Caleb’s potential fit at UNC, the player he was most interested in watching on Saturday, the atmosphere in Carolina’s locker room following the game, and the next steps in his recruitment.
