SNOOKER star Imprint Allen has tested the Office for the Economy over claims he didn’t get compensation after an administration organization that handled his award rewards collapsed.
Subtleties of the question arose in Belfast on Thursday at a primer hearing for a modern council.
Agents for the MJ Kane bookkeeping firm showed up for Mr Allen’s benefit.
It is understood that Mr. Allen was informed that he could no longer receive a salary from Mark Allen Sports Club Ltd. following proceedings for a previous divorce.
Although Mr. Allen was nominally paid as an employee of the company, he filed an application for reimbursement of his lost wages with the Department for the Economy, which can be handled by the department’s bankruptcy division.
By December 2022, Mr Allen, who is from Antrim town, had been educated he was fruitless and had three months to pursue.
During Thursday’s hearing, business judge Conor Hamill heard that the MJ Kane firm had endeavored to document the allure inside the cutoff time by Walk 7, 2023, however accepted they couldn’t without a declaration from the Work Relations Organization.
