Leeds United Set to Sign Manchester United’s Top Target
In a surprising turn of events, Leeds United has reportedly secured a deal to sign Rory Mahady, a highly sought-after young goalkeeper from Celtic, who was also a target for Manchester United and Manchester City. The 16-year-old prodigy, who has been impressing with his performances for Celtic’s youth teams and the Scotland U-17 national team, turned down a professional contract from Celtic to join Leeds United.
Mahady’s move to Leeds will initially be a scholarship deal, transitioning into a professional contract when he turns 17. This acquisition reflects Leeds United’s ongoing strategy to bolster their youth ranks with promising talents.
In addition to Mahady, Leeds United is also closing in on signing USA international Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig for £20 million.
